Single Review: Wet Dream by Be Like Milo

 "Wet Dream" by BE LIKE MILO is a moody, late-night electronic track that takes listeners on a surreal journey through desire, sleeplessness, and the subconscious mind. The song blends dark pop sensibilities with atmospheric, 80s-inspired synth pads to build an immersive, hypnotic landscape. The vocal delivery is soft and whispery. The lyrics ground the emotional weight of the song, exploring the feeling of drowning in a dream before the production shifts gears.

A highlight of the track is its sonic pacing and dramatic transition. What starts as a vulnerable, melodic synth-pop song gradually distorts and layered vocals begin to mimic a chaotic descent into a deep dream. The track then completely lets loose into an instrumental electronic outro, trading the vocals for heavy synth leads and driving percussion to create an aggressive, euphoric finish. In this interview, they share the story behind their music, their creative process, and what's next for the band. Tori: Congrats on your new single “Betrayal”! Can you tell us about the story behind it and how it came together? Shawn: It began with me having an initial idea for most of the song. I knew what I wanted the lyrical theme to be, and the riffs and melodies followed that. Most of our songs begin with that anyway, and I record it all into my computer and send it off to Willow.
